This is our test Plant.  It is a 2 year old Avocado that was planted in the same soil but with no Vetiver near it.

This is a Avocado tree that was planted about 10 metres from the one on the left but surrounded by Vetiver.

Ashes!  Follow the line of ash.

Left to right simply awesome!  Photos provided by Ed Morrison.  The urbanization is in Marbella.

Here is an interesting example of values of using Vetiver to halt erosion.  The first photo show plants in hedges that are about 2 years old that were on a shear cliff wall.  The second two photos have no Vetiver in the newly terraced areas.  The land below the last row of terracing has Vetiver and it is doing a great job.  Another lesson that this teaches all of us is that it is not smart to  terrace before the spring rains.  Wait until it is dryer.    Then immediately plant Vetiver to hold the banks in place and to stop the erosion of precious top soil.

     One month.  Sept.  25, 2014

After the winter when the plants get their nice purplish brown color it is best to cut them back to about 30 - 40 cm.  Now see the green summer colors.

This land was cleared to plant Vetiver in August 2018.

Hello Everyone.  Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  We are located in the south of Spain in a small village called Sayalonga which is located in the Province of Malaga.  We are on the coast about 45 minutes east of the city of Malaga.  There is a lot of useful information about Vetiver Grass from around the world showing how Vetiver is used.  If you have any questions please contact us either by email or by phone.

Click on this link to go to our CONTACTpage .   The intention of this page is to show you some examples of Vetiver's uses, how this incredible plant grows and what you might expect.  All photos are dated when planted, then a few months later and then the latest photos of that particular area.   Each row is a separate section of land with different types of soil.   We will be regularly adding additional photos from  all of our clients.   If you have photos that you would like to share we would love to post them as examples.  Vetiver also has many uses in the Permaculture Industry.  It is used as a compost, cattle and horse feed to name just a few.
